Former Canadian national basketball team player Rowan Barrett was named Tuesday as the director of youth development for Canada Basketball.
A 17-year national team veteran, the Toronto native played professionally overseas for 11 years in Spain, Italy, Greece and France. He played his college basketball at St. John's University in New York.
Barrett, who turns 38 on Wednesday, was a member of the Canadian Olympic team at the 2000 Summer Games.
