Steve Lavin has had tremendous success on the recruiting trail because he has a proven record of sending players to the NBA.

So maybe it isn't hyperbole when Lavin says that St. Bonaventure power forward Andrew Nicholson has pro potential.

"I know he's on some draft boards," said Lavin. "I've talked to some friends that I have in the NBA, and he clearly is a prospect for the next level."

Nicholson is a 6-foot-9, 225-pound beast who last season became the second player in school history to be named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year.

The Red Storm remembers him well.

When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

Does the Post ever get it right? The kid is a junior. He was not the A10 ROY. That was Gaston.

I like what Burrell has to say. Take it to this guy and make him work on both ends of the floor.

That and full court pressure. We saw some of that against Arizona State. Now we need to keep up the intensity.

Peter, that's what I said. Sorry if it was unclear. The Post said that he won the A10 ROY last year. He was a soph last year.

Either way, we need to shut him down tonight. I know that the Bonnies aren't a great team, but this kid will present a nice test for us.

Who will guard him? Hell

I wasn't reading carefully, my bad. Lenn's got to check the facts!
