I only caught the last 10 mins, but the team looked tired, especially Hardy. We could use the time to rest, heal up and refocus

As to DJ, I too have great concern.  thank God we won't have a game for 7 or 8 days.

Guys played much better than I expected today.  gave a well rested Cuse a good game; we have difinitely improved from the January meeting and that will help the team cushion the loss.  4 in double figures and Justin with 9--good TEAM ball.

hope the guys rest and WORK on FT's which were unacceptable today and getting defensive rebounds.

I only saw the last ten minutes as well, but i cant help but be dissapointed with the loss considering the result of the early game. Uconn is obviously playing well but the bracket had really opened up for us. Hope we can stay on the 4 line for the big dance after the loss and a questionable DJ. We just didnt have enough to stretch the zone with the 3 big lineup.

Melo did some decent work inside but their size advantage was a killer.  I haven't looked at boxscores yet but it seemed as is they killed us on the boards.  DJ going down early really hurt us.  He would have helped with rebounding.  Free throw shooting started off real bad but the guys picked it up.  In the end, we shot about the same percentage as Syracuse.  They had some costly turnovers that definitely helped cost us the game but, all in all, the guys played a tough game against a very good opponent.

I'm very disappointed that the Seniors did not get to beat Syracuse in their 4 years here.  The only opaportunity would be in the NCAAs but I'm hoping we come nowhere near them unless it is on Monday night in the final.  Cuse fan sitting near me was cool but thenrest of them reinforced why I hate Cuse and their fans.

I would have thought we got killed on the boards as well, but it was 34-34.

I guess when Syracuse gets every huge offensive board down the stretch it feels lopsided.

Can't believe Fat Melo's coming out party was today.

I call him Flab Melo, but same idea.  I agree with KOB, Coker should have gotten some time just to bang with him.  JB ended up in foul trouble and Sean got pushed around on the boards.

We played a pretty good game but we missed our free throws and turned the ball over way too much. Brownlee had a very good game and Hardy was good as usual. Evans and Burrell played well but we let up too many offensive rebounds again. We probably missed DJ in there a little bit in the second half but I think we lost to a very hot and talented team today. It was a very exciting and even game throughout and although we didn't win this one it was a very good game to watch.

We played with great effort...we really battled out there and that's all you can ask.  We had a few too many turnovers and a few too many missed free throws.  Onto the NCAA and hopefully we can win one (or a few) for DJ.

We played very well, with good defense and good movement ball. But the key was:

Score tied 68. Syracuse attack. They don´t know what to do. St. John´s defending very well.

Then, Syracuse timeout. 13 seconds remaining.

Inbounds play. Ball to Melo and he scored. After that we were not be able to recover.

they are the better team.  Rome wasn't built in a day( or season).  Not saying we can't beat them, but when Triche is shooting from the outside and their bigs come to play, we fall short.

One thing that really perplexed me.  We called timeout after Cuse free throws and put Dele Coker in while Hardy stayed on the bench.  it was obvious we would only have one possession as the shot clock was off, why not put Hardy in to get a shot off and why would you put Coker in for an offensive possession only?
