We need a point guard and a center.  Obepka does nothing for us if we land Gathers.  He's a less-skilled Sampson.

Every team needs one true point guard to go as deep as most of us are thinking.

We will be a better team if we can somehow land a pure point to complement Kyle.
Will that be ok with Kyle.

Hey, story out of Las Vegas is that Kyle and Shabazz Mohamad are friends and talking about playing together.   Any Lavin love for Shabazz being shown?

I think we hoist a trophy in 2013.  I predict Sweet 16 in 2012 and .500 in 2011.  Of course, this without ever seeing them play a single minute together! LOL  I reserve the right to modify my predictions, of course.

Wait, 2011 already happened.  Do you mean 11/12, 12/13 and 13/14?  Gotta get Maher's travel plans straight.  Now I think what you're saying is we should be meeting in Dallas in 2014, not Hotlanta in 2013.

I was going with the first years here...so it should be 11/12 .500, 12/13 Sweet 16 and Trophyville in 13/14.  :)

There is always that potential they could play together, cr.  I'm not discounting any school just yet when it comes to Anderson.  Shabazz isn't on the Johnnies radar and doubt he'll be in the foreseen future.

Shabazz played in a tournament game with Harrison, Harkless, and Sampson.  Pointer scored 18 pts in a different game for the south.  Harrison went off that game for 21 and 6 boards and lookd like the bets player on the floor.  Harkless scored 15 and was th east mvp.  They both looked better than Shabazz in that game, but that year makes a HUGE difference.   I'm sure Shabazz respects the talent we are bringing in.  Not sure if that helps or hurts.

I recall focusing on our players that game but Shabazz was unreal from what I saw.  I wouldn't go as far as to say any of our guys were better on the floor.

They were talking up Shabazz all game long and I remember watching to see how are guys were compared to the #1 player in 2012 on somes lists and I thought both Harrison looked like the best player in that game and it's criminal that his 21 and 6 couldn't didn't beat Pery Ellis' 14 and 8--which mostly came on putbacks and open dunks. I also thought Harkless looked at least as good as Shabazz if not a little better.  Sampson really didn't get the looks.

Shabazz looked very good, don't get me wrong.  He's not ranked that high for no reason.   My point is that Shabazz has a better understanding of the level of talent we are bringing in than just about any other elite 2012 recruit.  He stood side by side with Harrison on the same team when D'angelo went offf.  The west was up 20 when Harrison sat and the East, behind Harkless, closed it to within three.
