Assistants talk about Steve Lavin's health, coaching help [USA Today]

Each morning after 6 a.m. practice Dunlap reviews the session with Lavin over the phone. Lavin also receives a DVD of practice and tells Dunlap what to focus on in the next day's practice The transition has been smooth because both assistants have known Lavin, 46, for more than half of his life, Dunlap said.

"His improvement has been remarkable the last 72 hours," Dunlap said. "So that's very positive. If he's smart over the next three to six weeks with his recovery, he'll fly through."

Hopefully all goes well and speeds along to full recovery.  usually 12-14 days to full recovery if he had the procedure I think he probably did.
