DETROIT — When St. John’s and its ‘diaper dandies’ take on Detroit Mercy on Monday at Calihan Hall, you can bet it’s going to be ‘Awesome, baby, with a Capital A.’

It’ll be a big night for ubiquitous college basketball announcer Dick Vitale. Before the Red Storm (4-4) take on the Titans (3-6) in a 7 p.m. nationally televised game, the fast-talking and always-amusing ambassador of college hoops will see the court re-named for him.
