DJ, Boothe, Burrell, Horne, Evans that much more.  These guys went through 3 years of misery.  They stuck it out, had a great senior year, and proudly graduated with a St. John's Degree.  Thank you to them.  Mature, high-character men.

Great post! These guys went through hard times, but it was great rooting for them every day of the year. Not just on game day. We gave them hell on these boards but they were our guys. Hopefully the remaining guys can learn from them

People on these boards used to trash them. Utterly disrespect them.

Ya man. Dont know what ya got til its gone. Miss those boys

Those were some good kids man, never truly appreciated them until last year and that is a shame.

I miss them as well !That is how it goes I recall people saying Burrell was better than Hamilton that never happen! &This class would be better than the 9 seniors. Now that will never happen! I guess that is what makes life fun the unpredictability. But I love our 6 we have left they are all team players a coaches dream!
Attack basketball, pressure defense, 40 minutes of hell ... Early on it might be 30 minutes of hell, then 10 minutes of what the hell are you doing?"

To bad Nuri couldnt see past the nose on his face. Last years team had tough years, but by sticking with it and hard work they were able to reep the rewards..  They got to play in front of a packed MSG,national TV and beat numerous top 10 teams. Way to go.

Great post, but truth is those 5 never see the Ncaa's unless Hardy came aboard.  Still hurts that DJ didnt get a chance to play in the tourney tho.

Check out this quote from Hardy's facebook -- I really do miss these guys:

Dwight Hardy
I always wanted to get payed to play basketball, and now that I am.. I realize that I really love the game more than the money!!!!

If we didn't lose DJ, we would have gotten a 4 seed in Tuscon and had a good run to sweet 16 IMHO. We got screwed with that Gonzaga home game.
