Predictions rest of year
« on: January 04, 2012, 10:29:12 AM »
We stand currently at 7-7 and wish we had wins against Northeastern and Detroit, games we should have won.

We are not going to lose all our games the rest of the year but every game will be tough.

at Cincinnati Loss
at Marquette Loss
Georgetown Loss
at USF Win
Villanova Loss
West Virginia Loss
at Duke Loss
at DePaul Win
Syracuse Loss
Cincinnati Win
at Georgetown Loss
at Seton Hall Win (No I am not crazy I feel we play really well for this local contest)
UCLA Win (they have as many problems as we do)
DePaul Win
Notre Dame Loss
at Pitt Loss
at Rutgers Loss

6-11 rest of the way

I am hoping we sneak up on Georgetown at home and perhaps a win vs. Rutgers

I really think we will get better as the year goes on and the kids get more comfortable with the Offence.

That would give us 13 wins on the season. I said 12 before the season started and was ripped a new one. I'll be waiting for my apologies as per usual if that's the case.

I was trying to not be overly optimistic but I actually think 8-9 rest of the way is more than possible which will leave us right below .500 plus an BET game. I wish we really have the Detroit and Northeastern games back.  >:(

And those 2 foul shots at the end of the A&M game.

True but when I did this projection before the season, I did not think we would win the A&M game, but I agree with you and to some extent we self destructed late against AZ

My predictions:
We upset one top 20 team this year. We lose 20 games and coach Lavin announces in February he is going to sit this season out.  Harkless goes pro after this season and Poison and other call him a lot of bad names. We break the record for most shot clock violations in one season. In garbage time of a blowout a walkon will block a Malik Stith shot.

The Knicks will hover around 500 until Baron Davis gets healthy. They will get into the playoffs as the 7th seed then upset Chicago before being swept in the 2nd round of the playoffs. D'antoni will be fired and Phil Jackson will be hired. WASJU will have a dilema as to whether to continue rooting for the only NBA team he has ever rooted for now coached by smirky face.

The Mets will lose 108 games and trade David Wright to the ... wait for it...... Yankees becuase Aroid's body continues to breakdown. The Wilpon's will be forced to not only sell ad's on the fences but also on the Met uni's. On the bright side how cool will it be to see Chico's bail bonds on Jason Bay's sleeve. MLB will finally force the team to sell after two ugly incident. The first being when ball boys and ushers are pummeled by the 500 fans in a late October game while they were trying to retrieve foul balls from the fans to be reused in the game. The second when loan sharks break Johan Santana's thumbs becuase the Wilpons could not come up with the vig on their loan.

Rex Ryan will say something stupid.

I can't really predict what this team is going to be doing next game let alone in February.
