On today's game:
"We really wanted to take this game seriously for Geno (Eugene Lawrence)."

Good that there was a reason to play hard.

What is the point of this post?  He said he wanted to play hard for the Senior.
When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

That doesn't mean they don't try hard every game; he was simply giving the cliche answer on senior day.  Don't fault him.  Let's hope he comes back.

Larry Wright
On today's game:
"We really wanted to take this game seriously for Geno (Eugene Lawrence). This being his last year playing here, we just wanted to win it for him."

On next season:
"I am really looking forward to next season. I feel like our young players learned a lot this year with big crowds, at Duke, and at this game."

Guess he has no plans of transferring.......

I would be very suprised if Larry transfers.  I don't think many people realize how hard of a transition it is to transfer.  You are going to a new school where you have to meet new players, coaches and friends.  You have to sit your first year (which no kid wants to do).  Also, the biggest obstacle being who knows if the grass will be greener on the other side of the fence.  Larry has got some game and the way he improved from frosh to soph year only leads me to believe he will do the same this offseason.  He has shown flashes of greatness with the ball off the bounce and I think if he can become more consistent and make an effort to take the ball to the hoop he can become a great player for us.  His defense definately improved from the start of the season and we all know when he is even the smallest opening from three its going down.  Unlike Avery, I think Wright is not afraid of the competition behind him and will stay his remainig two years.

Sadly, you're right.  I was just talking about the statement itself, not to read too much into it.
