What an incredible honor for God's Gift. Earned. Well deserved. He is a huge credit to our team and university.
On the court, I expect that with the addition of a real big man it will open things up for God's Gift. We can't expect him to bang with BE 5s down low, and in those situations he hasn't thrived when receiving little shuffle passes. He needs just a little more space for himself.
I was really impressed with God's Gift this year and thought he played well. Although I am going on memory and not any stats in front of me, he was one of the players we counted on to hit his freethrows early in the season before D3 found his groove. Also, his field goal percentage in most games was really high.
So for 2012-2013, let's hope to see GG keep the GPA and field goal percentage high. He is a tremendous asset to our university on the court and in the classroom!
