Prediction... A win.  I think we will pack it in a bit more and make them try to best us from the outside.  DePaul likes to run, and they hang with us when they run early, but tire out under Purnell's style.  Need to keep them away from the basket and make them earn their baskets from just inside the 3-pt line.  We can't just get sloppy and play AAU ball which we tend to do against DePaul.  Need to play cleaner and exploit them a bit more.  This isn't the Windy City Classic.  Time to own them.

Some of our players called the SH game a "trap" game in pre-game interviews.

This has got to be the venus fly trap of games.  Hoping that Depaul is so bad that it won't matter.

DePaul McCartney - 77
St. John Lennon    - 76

Seton hall was a bigger trap game because they shoot the shit out of the ball at every position and have Danya Abrams clone in the middle.  We beat DePaul if we just pack it in a bit, and keep them chucking from deep and limit turnovers.  We can't count on others being bad.  We have to expect they'll have their best day like when the Hall was shooting about 90% from 3.  We do need to scout weaknesses though and play smart ball to our gameplan.  "trap" games are greatly diminished when eliminating the source of "trap" mentality.

Danye woulda scored 45 points on us. And he woulda pulled down 25 rebounds

Yeah comparing Teague to Danya is insulting.

Wow, what a wide range of scores from the offensive end. I would think this would be a high scoring game given the 2 defenses involved even though we have made enormous strides on the defensive end.

The constant appears that this will not be a blow out although we are certainly capable of doing that.

Just come out with a quality victory in the game by game approach the rest of the year.

Got to get to Georgetown on a positive note.

We are averaging 70.2 during our 4 game winning streak, which is a nice jump from the low 60's where we had been scoring. We scored 71 in the 1st game against Depaul. We win ugly. It is working, embrace it. Predicting 80 points is just silly. 88 is a pipe dream.

Ok wasju, I'm hugging our ugly win.  Thanks for the reality check.
