Biggest game of regular season.

Close victories at home over sucky mid-majors like SH & Depaul dont give me confidence about the upcoming slate of tough games. But the current win streak has increased team confidence and we have seen Dom emerge as a major contributor. However because of our win streak, the Hoyas will not be overlooking us and will be up for the game as well.

I think the team will be pumped and will make it a good close game.  But in order to actually win, it cant be a two man game with D and Jakarr playing well and everyoen else lame. We will need a third and fourth guy to break out and have big game as well.

The good thing about feasting on the conference cellar dwellers is that it means we are not one of them.  We may not be the elite yet, but it is progress.

WASHINGTON — The sentence you are about to read is true: The eyes of the college basketball world will be upon St. John’s today.

Such a sentence was inconceivable less than three weeks ago, when the Johnnies were coming off a 67-51 loss to Georgetown at the Garden. The Red Storm were 9-7 overall, 1-3 in the Big East and their RPI was lower than Bernie Madoff’s approval rating.

Johnny Jungle- Anthony Ramos

Sunday night will be the biggest football game of the year on CBS but at 4pm on Saturday there will be the biggest game of the season for the St. John’s Red Storm so far on CBS. The nationally televised game will feature two streaking teams, the Red Storm who have rattled off five straight and the Hoyas of Georgetown who have won thee straight and four of five since last meeting with the Johnnies.

The 67-51 beatdown St. John's received from Georgetown on Jan. 12 at Madison Square Garden was far worse than the score indicated. It was a rude "welcome to the Big East" moment in which the Hoyas disabused Steve Lavin's highly touted young recruits of any notions they were ready to compete with the big boys.

After the first semester , I thaught we were a bottom dwelling BE team, but ,fortunately, we got our act together. Im hoping we can sneak into the NCAA touney, but , it wont be easy.
