That is a great quote.  That sums up exactly what Karr is
Remember who broke the Slice news

It's amazing how differently outsiders (with the exception of Cuse fans!) view our players than the fans on these boards.

Hopefully these perspectives take a positive up-swing come February. With improvement comes wins and lot of exposure.

I think he's a less talented, and less skilled version of Malik Sealy.

Thus far I agree Poison. Sealy developed better ball handling skills with experience, enabling him to play off guard position in the League. I value Karr as a good college player, but too think he has to improve in several facets of his game for NBA relevance.  For now, let's enjoy and support him.

You are right some of these guys really break it down  :). My point to the "NBA scout" is , first off he is way off base, second off, who knows who made those comments, could have been the writter himself.

Sealy was a much better outside shooter.  Was money from the baseline.

Sounds like a handler. Bogus crap.

Sampson needs a handle, he needs to learn how to pass, he is a lousy defender, and he needs a back to the basket post up game. He's a 4 year player, and if you don't agree, ask yourself this: has he improved? If so, where?

I hope he stays at least thru his Jr. season.  Doesn't matter what anyone here thinks.

Money from the baseline, and he knew how to use the glass. He would have dropped 35 points on that Wisconsin team.

Wow!  All that and he's the BE rookie of the year.  All of the other freshmen must really suck.

As you well know the college game and the NBA game differ.

Yes, I know.

I just wanted to point out that the poster was being overly critical of a young player who's a major feather in the Lavin recruiting cap and one that we should be thanking our lucky stars to have.  Remember that said player was judged to be the best freshmen player in a the league that was far and away the best conference in the nation before it became BE lite.  Perceived flaws in his game must be either: a) not that bad or b) being successfully compensated for by extreme strength in other areas.
