I've noticed him at three of our games this year at least.  I know he is not longer coaching that D2 school he went to after Iona.  I know he had Chiles on his staff at Iona.  Would love to know if he might be doing some work with our big men.

Interesting. He was at a recent Iona game, first in a long time I think.

Moose - Juan Dixon just took on a position like that with the Terps.  juan is a special assistant as he cannot actively coach from the bench, but works with the guards in practices.  Reviews video with the guys too.  Juan is gaining bench knowledge sitting in on the huddles, etc., and will enter the coaching ranks soon enough.   Players say he oozes bball knowledge.

Wasn't Whitesall known as a big man coach. I can say that Obekpa has clearly improved his offensive game this year despite looking at the stats and we are starting to see marked iimprovement with Sanchez and Sampson.

I don't know where the talk of him being a big man coach came from.  2 years at STL and however many years at a middling mid major doesn't scream big man coach to me at all.

*BTW Ruland was there again yesterday.  Should be interesting to see if any of our guys end up on the Wizards.

Whitesell did work with the big men.

http://m.stltoday.com/sports/college/slu/slu-promotes-whitesell-to-associate-head-coach/article_76cfbf86-c13d-11e1-bf13-001a4bcf6878.html?mobile_touch=true

I didn't doubt he worked with big men.  I just said 2 years at St. Louis isn't exactly like big reputation thing.  If he did it for 10 plus years at SLU and they had a history of big men, ok then.

Could you please go into some detail about his improved offensive game. I can only recall dunks where as last year early in the season I seem to recall he took some 15 ft set shots and a few went in. guess he as taken a few hook shots.
