David Cain proved to be a pretty good PG.. Trouble was Brian didn't notice his talent until his SR season.
Neither did anyone else.
The most amazing turnaround , improvement or whatever you want to call it from any player since I have been watching the team. Count me as one of the "anyone else" but it does show that you can't judge a player getty spotty, irregular minutes.
Agree, but it was Lou who didn't play Cain (which is who I meant by anyone else), not Mahoney, who only had him for a year, and that was in keeping with Lou's philosophy, which was to not play underclassmen except in extraordinary circumstances.
