Nice effort BUT

Fact of the matter is that with this loss we now realistically need to finish 9-1 the rest of the way in conference play  to make the NCAA tournament. We have had no key injuries, 1 freshman who is actually our best player and no reason to struggle like we have. No excuses. No moral victories when you're 2-5. All we saw today is what could have been had we not spit the bit in our winnable early season games. We have the pieces to be a good team but we will never know what their fully unlocked potential is. It's truly a shame and there is no reason this season should be over. Bottom line is we lost and are now 2-6 in a conference that quite frankly isn't that good. Fire Lavin.

There is always winning the BE tournament 

Yeah if they wan't to make the tournament they would have to win out or just win the BET.

We're not making the tournament.  It's February and we still haven't beaten an above average team yet.   
That said, the rest of the season could still be fun basketball if the team continues to develop.  But any realistic notion of the tournament was gone after the Providence loss.. 

It's disgusting to think that this team  has virtually no chance to make the tournament. Literally makes me sick thinking about it. Pathetic job by our pathetic coaching staff.

What sucks most is that the remaining 10 regular season games are essentially meaningless in terms of win/loss. We aren't going to go 9-1 so an at large bid is officially out of the question. The only games with real meaning now are the BET games
