I'm looking to grab a solo ticket for the first session Thursday. Never really dealt with stubhub, should I jump on a ticket now or lay off to see price go down, or will it only go up?

Use www.seatgeek.com     it's combines several ticket websites, and in my opinion you get the best price.

Tickets for wed. Were 10 dollars a few days ago and 6 yesterday . I would bet they would be lower today.
Georgetown game got more expensive as you got close to the game .
I would think they would be cheapest if you bought them Thursday morning and printed them before you leave. But that might not be true .

Go outside the Garden around game time .  A single will be below face .  No need to get a good seat will be plenty of room session 2 to move around.

I do that often . Works great. However big east is not easy. One of the few times scalpers at St. John's games have the advantage . I would not recommend . If you do scalp. Make sure you buy correct session . Thursday should be session 2.

I've had good luck at Big east...usually lots of tickets around from schools not playing that session.

Best advice is to buy from fans and not scalpers.  Very easy to spot the difference.
