I think there is a good amount of time where having Obekpa hurts us just as much as it helps us.  But still, he's able to block shots at an elite level and rebound at a pretty good one too. If we could only have him for 5-10 minutes a game I think we would have a chance against anybody in the country. Without him completely im not sure who we can beat, but I am pretty sure SDST is one of them.

He's been awful a lot this year.  His biggest contribution is that he negates the inside very well.  When he's out, we sometimes look like we can't stop anyone in there.  Joey and Amar are so foul prone, but they haven't had the opportunity to get a full week of first team reps and attention yet.

I hope Zendon laced them up this week and took it to Amar.  I hope someone called out Jones in practice and the staff stayed on him.

Joey has no skill, but that kid has a winning attitude that you just can't teach.  I can't remember seeing a player bring it so hard and be so positive in that kind of role.  He looks like a great teammate and amazing kid to have at the very end of your bench... a "yes, coach" kind of kid.

Just having Obekpa in the game is a huge bonus.  He alters shots, causes guys to rush shots, feel less comfortable, etc.  He is our best interior rebounder and is the only big guy who can make a layup/dunk off in traffic.  It is a huge loss and our guards need to kill it for us to even have a chance, unless we get some performance from the Amar/JDR/Jones trio that no one rational could see coming.
