2015/16 Projected Big East Standings
« on: April 15, 2015, 08:38:27 AM »
Top tier: Nova' Georgetown...

Second Tier: Marquette, Butler, St. John's,  DePaul, Xavier

Bottom Tier: Seton Hall, Creighton, Providence (assuming no Dunn)

Looks like league will be very, very tough again.  (Tiers not in any order)

Marquette loses a lot . Carlino was their only good player. Butler loses a few seniors. Xavier loses their big man.

Marquette has a top ten recruiting class....Butler and Xavier will usually end up no worse than being in the mix.

How is Depaul in the 2nd tier?

Rosters aren't even set for next season. It's impossible to say the standings in April for the conference play that's starts in December/January. DePaul has a new coach also so they will probably be adding players like us, very tough to predict but they will have a tough time not being bottom feeders most likely.

Good format for such an early prediction hnk, but  let's be realistic. Agree that Nova and GTown are definitely first tier.  Second tier: DePaul (new coach and a lot coming back), Xavier (although they lose Stainbrook, Mack is a great coach) Seton Hall (Even Willard can't screw up that much returning talent; but then again maybe he will) And I agree that if PC has Dunn back they will be second tier.

Third tier has us (too young and thin, but if our recruiting falls into place, then we could be in the mix).  Butler (though he's an excellent coach, they lose too much), Creighton (Just not enough there) Marquette (hard to precdict with Wojo still unproven, and all those unseen players).

They remind me of us this past year. They have a top 3-4 as good as anybody.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Someone obviously has too much tie on their hands to start a discussion like this now as rosters are incomplete (transfers/signings/eligibility) at this juncture. Best to wait
