A Big Ten coach described Clark as a “hard-nosed kid who competes on both ends of the floor” and is a “very good offensive rebounder."#sjubb

Per Rothstein

The talent upgrades on St. John's roster over the last 12 months is staggering. Still a ways to go on floor, but pieces are there. #sjubb

Per Zach B
Marvin Clark Jr. picked St. John's over Oklahoma State, South Florida and Providence. Said #sjubb was "perfect fit."

No, the food at Marillac Hall. :)
Of course PT is always an issue.

the video documentary in the post article is a great story about Melvin. Good for this kid to come out on the other side after what he has gone through. Nice to have good character kids on this team

Nobody builds food halls like me, believe me.  If we land all three recruits I will build a great, great Panda Express on our southern border okay. And I'll do it inexpensively. And guess what? Fordham will pay for it. Mark my words. I  will repeal and replace the big lie being spread about gluten. That stuff is great. Nobody would be tougher on vegans than Marillac. Believe me.

I will name a combo after mjmaherjr, great guy by the way...really, really nice guy...and who knows crab rolls better than that guy?

I will stop Iona from getting transfers. When schools send Iona their transfers, they aren't sending their best. Iona is not our friend.

Thank you Paultzman and all contributors who keep the rest of us abreast.

Hopefully our new guys and returners will be staying on campus during the summer, scrimmaging w alums and NBA caliber ballers and develop into a cohesive unit quickly.

Quite a bit of footage on Clark in this one. Even get to see some misses in this video. I like what I see from his shooting and ball handling. Does seem to float on the perimeter but whose to say if that is an accurate description.  Don't think Marillac will like what he sees in this one.

I don't have much of a problem.
It's AAU or a camp so it's pretty sloppy. He has a capable shot, but he looks really good leaning into his defender when taking it. That is where he's of much use. He missed a few cuts while making himself available for treys that I had the biggest problem with. Screens well and makes himself available after nicely.
Kid is built like a tank ala Joey Graham of OSU. Get him a step or two and nobody is defending that off the bounce. He should only shoot to the extent that it opens up his drive.
