Rico Gathers Has NFL ProDay Workout

Former Baylor basketball standout and NFL Draft hopeful Rico Gathers had an estimated 25 teams present at his pro day Monday at the Saints' facility, including a handful of tight end coaches. Gathers' trainer Mack Chuilli said they felt like he had a great showing.

I am very interested to see what the league thinks of him as a project. For every Gates there are many who tried to go this route and never panned out to much of anything. Gonzalez and (I believe) Graham a bit different as they actually played football in college. Don't think Gates did though.

Isn't there a kid who played hoops at Marist, now a line,an in the league?

Heard on one of the draft podcasts that he would be unlikely to be drafted. He hasn't played football since middle school. They also said he would get invited to someone's camp.
