I used to say smith Rivera was overrated. I wanted Harrison to get the accolades. The more I watched him the more I became a fan of his. Georgetown has had plenty of talent the last 5/6 years never seem to dos as well as they should . I hope John Thompson's son stays their a long time.

JT3 does less with more than any coach in D1. I hope he stays there forever.

I'm a fan of JT3. There are more and more fans who are not though.

I definitely can see an argument that players deferred to DSR too much last year especially since DSR was trying to show of his PG abilities for the next level so wasn't focused as much on scoring. DSR was a great player for Georgetown in his career and he made the best out his limited athletic abilities by being a smart player.

I think you will see a different Hoya team next year. Recruits are stating in interviews that they are being told that Georgetown wants to change the offense and play faster with more dribble drive. I'm assuming that this is more than just talk, since it seems silly to lie to recruits that will see whether the coaches are lying before they'd commit. So I think you'll see a different style and better results.

I also think JT3 gets a bad rap. He has 3 BE titles all when the BE was the best conference that has ever existed and a Final 4. You don't do those things by accident or if you're a crappy coach no matter what people may think.

Sorry this thread got derailed. Hopefully Rothstein is correct and St. John's makes a jump next year as well. St. John's is definitely a tough team to predict next year with so many new players. Certainly should be more talented, have to see how it all comes together.

Makes more sense. Agree. Life time contract.

If memory serves me right, Smith-Rivera played his best games against St. John's.  Probably why our fans perceive him a bit differently, by and large.

I've always said, Georgetown is where talent goes to die
