Great news. We certainly could use his muscle. For those that have seen him, who does he remind you of?

I've watched a few full games. He's kinda Ty Grant-esque to me.  Same build, decent but not great athlete.  Likes ball in the paint.  Will score readily if it's in his hands down there.  He's not a shot blocker at all, but boxes out.
That is what we need.

Yep, exactly. Let Sima and Yakwe take chances by going for blocks while Livingston does the dirty work and gets the rebounds. He's also a post player that you can run your offense through on some possessions whereas Sima and Yakwe aren't there yet. Perfect fit imo

I'm getting anxious for November.

Not even saying we're even going to be an NIT team, but I like the makeup of this current squad if we do land Livingston without any off the court issues.

The tournament is always the goal. No point in bringing all of these studs if we're not going to be good. The NIT might be acceptable, but hopefully, they are not going into the season with such small goals.

The only player that competed half as hard as he does for rebounds the last 15 years was Glover. This kid moves like a football player...slow laterally, but plays low with good balance, seeks a body to muscle on every shot attempt, and really knows how to use leverage. His rebounding will transfer to the Big East without question. Hopefullybthe other aspects of his game will as well. Very good complement to our skinny young guys.

NFL scouts should take note of this kid...screw Gathers.

I see him as a 20 mpg kid. Will pair well with Yakwe and Ahmed at the forward spots but might not be so great playing  with Sima against quick teams. Perhaps he can play some four with Owens at the five.

It's more than just the assault.  They likely need to verify that he has a plan in place to manage his mental health issues so that he's not a threat to harm others, as he harmed the cop when being admitted to a mental hospital

How are they going to verify that? Seems it's out of their wheelhouse. This ain't Harvard.

What is medication plan is, his most recent diagnosis, how and whether he can properly transition to a new therapist in nyc, where he will live and whether he will have roommates or family with him to support him in properly taking his medication and dealing with his issues etc.   I had a friend who was a star track runner in college who had same issue

WPC, thanks much for an informative, logical, sound, and medically informed post on the topic. (You're setting a dangerous precedent for this board!)

It was just posted on RM that Livingston might take more visits.  I don't like this, especially since NC State is recruiting him and they seem to have had our number recently, recruiting wise.

Where did you draw that conclusion from? From Zach B;

"Was told Arkansas State grad transfer Anthony Livingston visit to #sjubb went very well. Uncertain if he will take more visits."

From "uncertain" re more visits to NC State doom, lol

I didn't say doom.  But I kinda thought he might be signed by now, and then Zach tweets that he might take more visits.  On top of that NC State has owned us recruiting wise lately.  It's a concern.  Uncertain if he will take more visits means he might take more visits, right?  No doom, but it is disappointing.

Surprised he is not visiting Seton Hall,  seems like a perfect fit for a player at his position especially for playing time  and need for the Hall.
Attack basketball, pressure defense, 40 minutes of hell ... Early on it might be 30 minutes of hell, then 10 minutes of what the hell are you doing?"

It means Livingston is uncertain re more visits.

Am told staff is confident they will land him, so you go Gottfried worried route & let me know how that works out. :)
