Jarrid Famous - C - Westchester CC - Valhalla, NY

The kid was AWFUL out of high school, but has improved tremendously.  He's not an impact Big East player and it is just that simple.  I coached against him this past year.  I'd put him at the MAAC level.  He'd offer St. John's next to nothing besides a backup center with size.  If that is what the staff wants, then fine, but but don't expect a guy that will come in and give use 12 and 10.

So would you compare him to TJ ?  If so I def would rather save the schollie for 2010

Famous recently attended St. Johns Tip-Off and spoke about the experience, "It was a good feeling seeing and taking part in the St. Johns event, I didn't know they had all that," said Famous.

When asked the hypothetically, of having only 14 days left to narrow his school list to five schools, Famous responded, "Fourteen days? It would be Xavier, Seton Hall, Missouri, West Virginia, and DePaul."

As far as the reason for those five, "Those have been the schools that have shown the most interest. Those are the ones that came to mind," said Famous.

Seems that Bobby G and Seton Hall are going after Famous pretty hard but what really stuck out to me is this line by the author. WTF?

"Bobby Gonzalez, one of the top recruiters on the eastern seaboard who gets New York area players to sign with him like Jessica Alba gets dudes to stare at her, appears to be the front-runner."

Does he realize Seton Hall is the only Big East team not have anyone signed for 2009?
