SF Ahmed - 4.7 boards

I think that's high. I predict 4.4.

There is a better chance Baldi votes for Hillary than Owens averaging 6.5 boards.

I'd be disappointed if this actually occurred. I expect a lot more out of Ahmed... I think he's gonna be our best player.

I don't necessarily see 3/4 of the freshman regressing, but rather getting less minutes. I think they'll be more efficient with ball handlers to help them get shots, and time spent working on their game.

For the record, I don't think that Sima will regress. I don't think those stats are bad for a sophomore center. They're not impressive, I see that, but if every player had impressive stats we'd be in the final four. I see Mussini as a zone buster similar to the what Hooper was brought in to do. I think Ponds will take Mussini's minutes. And it looks like Ahmed and Freudenberg will take Ellison's. Actually, I could see Malik becoming one of those players that is versatile enough to play 3/4 positions and gives the line up flexibility.

We know that Mussini and Sima are working on getting stronger this summer on campus, but we've heard nothing about Ellison and Yakwe.  What are they doing this summer?

I'm just taking an educated guess based on how most top ranked jucos have recently performed in year one. He could be awesome but who the heck knows?

Ellison is learning to surf and Yakwe is going to see Shakespeare in the park.

Over/under on Lovett turnovers starts at 3.5. I'll take the over.

Poison without a doubt driving the Owens bandwagon. Will be interesting to see how he does this year. Poison's talent evaluation rep riding on it

Its tough to know how many minutes you are projecting for each player.

Mussini averaging 2.5 to's a game would be .2 more than he averaged last year. Playing 29.3 mins a game. Is that minutes or regression? If he gets half those minutes he will score at least 7 points a game.

Sima averaging 4 and 6 and 1.5 blks after as a frosh getting 7, 6, 2.5. That was in 23 mins a game. That would be regression.

Ellison averaging 4 pts 2 rbs 1.5 asts after scoring 7, with 2.5 rbs , 2.5 asts in 20 mins.

Over is probably a solid bet. No chance in hell it's as low as 2

If Mussini gets enough minutes to increase his TO's per game then he will be scoring double digits

Be careful on overestimating Owens. He's a complementary piece at best. IMO, a healthy and hopefully stronger Sima will get major minutes at the 5.

I think he's smarter than Sima and Williams. He knows where to be on the court. In a system with a true point guard, and in a system where we're gonna run, I think he will surprise people. Sima is uncoordinated, and hasn't shown me that he's able to play at the BE level. That may be because of his hand injury, but he did really regress upon his return.

What do you base your eval of Owens on, he didn't see much floor time at Tenn.?
