Moe will be signing with a team any day now. Where do you all think he should end up? Selfishly I would love to see him as a Knick but that has no chance of happening now with our recent signings, no more cap.
I think he should re-up for Blazers-he seemed to thrive there and better team around him. Lakers would be a mistake with their rebuilding phase.

I don't think anyone is really offering him because it's expected Portland will just match the offer.  I think you could watch out for Denver, Philly and Utah offering him but not quite sure really.  He might almost want to just accept the qualifying offer and jump back in next offseason for the monster spike.

The Knicks really screwed up by not grabbing him last year from the Magic for nothing. He would have been a nice complement to Melo and could have really refined his offensive game playing with him.

Eventually Moe will be living in Harlem playing for the Knicks. Mo' will be singing the Harlem Blues.

I wonder if the Nets will turn to Harkless  now,  that they struck out on their 2 top target Crabbe and Tyler.
Attack basketball, pressure defense, 40 minutes of hell ... Early on it might be 30 minutes of hell, then 10 minutes of what the hell are you doing?"

I hope so for his sake.  He should be firing his agent because this has not gone well.  With the contracts that were given out he should have raked in 50 million.  Now who knows.  I would really like to see him in Philly alongside Ben Simmons personally.

With the salary FLOOR, the Nets could be in line to give Moe a huge deal.  They need to spend money.  Guys like Harkless, Sullinger, Tyler Zeller could be in line for exorbitant pay days just bc Nets have to pay someone.   It's a great time to be a Celtics fan (since they have the Nets picks the next 2 years).

It's crazy to say it, but is that the right move for him?  That team is going to be god awful.  I know he would get paid, but I think Moe's value is on the right team.  He played awesome off of Dame.  At this point, can he just accept the Qualifying Offer from Portland and become Unrestricted next year?  I wonder if he can get his way to Minnesota.  That's another up and coming team that he could fit in on.  He'd be awesome under Thibs.

Kid, are you happy with Ainge right now?  I know you guys have loads of picks and all these assets but when is he going to make a big move and for who?  All those picks he has just lose value once they go through seasons of not playing any minutes.  I still can't believe he didn't deal more picks this last draft.  I personally would overpay for whomever you want right now and go for it.  You guys are 1 stud away from scaring the shit out of Cleveland.  Boogie?

Yes I am happy with Ainge in that if our options were to trade top picks for a guy like Jimmy Butler, he doesnt get us to championship level AND eats much of our cap room available, so I'd prefer keep acquiring assets as the core is young.

I DO think the time is right to go all in for someone like Boogie (or maybe Westbrook, but only if he agreed to extend by 1 more year), or Blake Griffin, or Paul George (if the latter 2 are ever available).  The 2017 draft is stacked and the Nets look horrendous.  That pick is SUPER valuable now that the offseason is basically complete so now is the time to strike.

That said, they appear to have gotten closer to Durant than anyone expected, and next year Durant again, Russ, and others are FA.  I don't blame them patiently waiting rather than using the rest of their cap space for another borderline all star.  Horford was a great signing for this year, but the rest of the cap space has to be for a true star, not a Horford/Thomas type player.

Lots of Celtics fans are unhappy though, I may be in the minority.

I think you're 100% right about the 2017 draft.  I don't think I would deal that pick for anything.  Same reason though I would have dealt everything and anything this past year.  Once you guys got the #3 pick, the value went down tremendously.  Brown may become a good pro, but I personally don't think he's going to help you much for a few years.  I think he needed to over pay then and Danny was trying to make a fairer deal (which I understand).  You have so many good young players who just don't do anything and will eventually just lose.  I keep hoping the Knicks can somehow snag James Young, and I think RJ Hunter can be a player too.  Maybe with Turner leaving they'll get some burn.  The Crowder and Thomas contracts are two of the best non rookie deals in the entire league.

I don't know why but Russ doesn't seem like a Boston guy to me.  I think he's LA bound but am hoping the Knicks can make a case.  Actually, back on topic, I wonder if OKC would look to bring Moe in.

Great analysis and I think you see us make a trade of some of the young guys this summer.  We'll see if its something big or more role players but we cant let them all toil away on the bench slash in Maine.

OKC would be a great landing spot for Moe.

Moe should sign qualifying offer with Portland and bet on himself to cash in next year.

Agree if he cant cash in this year still.  Some ridiculous money going around and Moe should jump on it if it is there for him.

With turner coming in and Crabbe coming back on big $, maybe moe is in line to lose minutes. Would hate to see it and wouldn't agree with it but it is not a reach at all. Think if he gets anything close to multiyear deal at close to 10 mill then he should jump.

Gotta think someone would pay him 3/30 in this market.  And he should take it.

"Trail Blazers forward Maurice Harkless is in “no rush” to sign a contract, but the restricted free agent should make a decision in the next couple of days, his agent told Jason Quick of CSNNW.com (Twitter link). Harkless might accept the Blazers’ qualifying offer of just over $4MM, Quick adds. Several teams were reportedly interested in Harkless early in the free agent process, including the Wizards, Pistons, Lakers, Mavericks and Jazz, but some of those clubs have already made other commitments."

I think the Blazers would be the best fit.  Better team around him.  I wish Moe would be getting more money out of the deal but he should take what he gets because he fits well with that team. Going to the Lakers or a weaker rebuilding team will only set him back to the Orlando days and harm his player development. Blazers have solid core to keep his confidence up.  He puts in a good season hopefully he gets a better contract.

Congrats to Moe on the new deal.

@ShamsCharania
RFA Moe Harkless has agreed to a four-year, $40M-plus deal to re-sign with the Portland Trail Blazers, league sources tell The Vertical.

A little surprised but 40 million bucks is 40 million bucks.  He will also be a free agent at 27 again where he can cash in again.

Awesome. Good for Moe. He struggled a bit but he seems to have really found his stride. Looks like he will have long career in front of him. Hopefully some of Mullins boys will be playing against him in the NBA down the line.
