Who would get Sima's minutes?

Who would get Sima's minutes?

I'm hoping the staff goes with a smaller, quicker lineup at times. Get up the floor and get transition baskets. We don't have the shooters or back to the basket players to run halfcourt offense and be successful. Not yet,

The way I see it, if the players perform- he will get the credit for being guru recruiter. If the team blows chunks, it's his players that blow chunks

I think Owens will take some of Sima's minutes, and Ellison, because he already has, will continue to take minutes from Mussini. I see LoVett and Ponds as the captains of this team, and I see both of them as the go to guys.

I expect Ellison to be our most improved player.  Last year he showed he could get to the rim.  Think this season he's able to finish once there.

Mussini shoots 40% or better from 3, all catch and shoot.  If spotted correctly, will be more effective in reduced minutes.

(Slice has got to be this year's goat: huge expense, zero return, and months of drama.)

Ellison played well on defense aginst whitehead in the second game which was a postive but he was not a very good defender throughout the season.
I don't understand how Matt can be considered the scapegoat for a poor season. He has done a great job.
I think Ahmed is our best player/ scorer.
I think mussin and Amar get their minutes cut. I think Ellison backs up both guards, with ponds and Lovett playing plenty. Sima plays less minutes also but good minutes.
I hope ownes can contribute. Yawke will be fun to root for.
If we can play some defense, be prepared early in the season and not get blown out by cupcakes I think we can be pretty good by the start of conference play.
I am cautiously optimistic for the season.

Agreed on both players.

People seem to be down on Sima. IMO, even though I think Yakwe can play the center in college, Sima is our only legitimate center.  Aside from that, hes already shown enough to place him in the top 5 centers to play at sju this millennium. I wouldn't be surprised if we see an increase in  every number of his this season.

I like Sima. Needs to stay healthy. Has a lot of work to do. Footwork, low post moves, touch around the basket. He flings the ball at the basket.

He looks uncoordinated. He can still be a useful part of the team but not if trying to do too much. We don't need him back his backing man down for 15 seconds and then, like you said just flinging the ball at the rim. He can take 2-3 shots per game and spend his time worrying about boxing out/rebounding and setting screens - which he does.

Not every center should be asked to score the ball. His focus should be everything but offense.
