The Staten Island Campus was opened after the Brooklyn Center closed in the early 70's. As a proud graduate of the Brooklyn Center you should be aware that there was wide spread support  of the team (just could hope that the Jamaica Campus can match that support today) and although we had about 1,000-1,500 under graduates we sold close to 2,000 tickets per game there. If you consider going to S.I. slumming don't go. Just wanted to make the members of the site aware of the scrimmage. As always looking forward to the season.

Only 15 years late--stopped in March 2001 and then Fresh Kills reopened as a forensic center after 9/11.  Don't make rash statements about "The Rock" or one of its residents might visit you and take you to see the land fill late at night.

If someone were to take me there, it would take over 2 hours, which is kinda the point.

They are actually holding this on Staten Island. Why would anyone need a link? No one is going.

I think what you mean is that not everything is about St.John's fans, and their season ticket holders, because just about all of them will not be able to attend this.

In years past the program has tried to drum up interest from students by occasionally holding a practice of some sort on their Staten Island campus. So, to your point, that would be who this is for.

Way to dismiss anyone with any interest in going to a marketing event, no matter how minor.

And then refusing to even promote that marketing event.

Marketing event? How is this a marketing event? I think you are confused. This is an open practice on Staten Island. 2 years ago they held an open practice at MSG. THAT was an event. Staten Island is a f'n disgrace. An event should be eventful. This is charity.

Sounds like you think anyone who attends the campus on The Rock does not belong to SJU.  Complain as you do about how difficult it is to get to that campus; think instead as to how difficult it is to get to CA from there.  PS--they are also doing in similar event on Battery Park City courts for the Manhattan campus. ;).

Yes, that's correct. I think anyone and everything on Staten Island should belong to Staten Island. It's not a good look for the university to be known for having a Staten Island campus that they're actually proud of. What recruit wants to hear that shit?

So the school has a satelite campus, wants to show those students some love and you think those kids are not worthy of having their team come to the campus... ?

Your disdain of everyplace not Nyc is well documented.  Now we discover that you have ill feelings about one of the five boroughs of Nyc.

Exactly what locations do you like?
