Gophers 69

Our collective team defense, size and length give Baby Rick and our old friend Kimani Young headaches all night. Shamorie and Marcus shine, Rich shows everyone what he's about, Kassoum, Malik and Bash are the difference. The buzz begins!

Edge to Minny by free throws.

I think in general that the B10 is more "slow" physical, but B10 oriented refs call all sorts of ticky tac fouls.  BE lets more physical play go.  And you saw it yesterday in the SHU game at Iowa, in contrast to the DePaul Rutgers game.

As an aside, was that DePaul home court their new arena?  Looked nice but was empty.

And it was strange having a BE team from Chicago play a B10 team from Jersey.

This may be the game that exposes out weakness (light weight-no bulk) up front.  Minn 80-70

No, that was Allstate Arena.  Depaul moves into their new building next year, though Allstate will survive for at least one more year, as Northwestern will play there next year, while their on-campus facility undergoes renovations.

Game going to come down to free throws at the end where Mussini, Ponds and Lovett go 8/10 to seal the deal in last 2 minutes.
