These refs are a joke which does not help matters

The refs have been fine. Swallowed the whistle on a few plays down low where they could have called fouls against our bigs

Coaching has been fine.  Execution horrible.  We scored like 4 points in 10 minutes with lots of turnovers.  This has nothing to do with the coaching.  Minnesota not an amazing team.  Our meltdown is the problem.

Why aren't we pressing them?

I said the same to myself.

The good news is Minny is in love with the three, easy to stop the transition offense, and Minny is timing all blocks off no fakes. Easy adjustments.

More Ponds and Mussini and less of everyone else. Ponds is getting into the lane at will. Send Ellison to the showers until he wants to play a screen like a goddamn man.

What has Mussini done?

Marcus, we're always on the same page, but not here.  It is coaching.  This is the same play we saw a season ago.  We just have more talent now.  If this was last season, we'd probably be down 25 by now.

Most of the turnovers are coming from lack of offensive structure. When you have a bunch of young guys playing streetball they are going to turn it over. It's not like we got a bunch of good looks of a set plays and just missed them. We got very good looks the whole half. Ponds bailed the offense out by hitting some really tough shots

If you want more rushed shots and zero defense, then yes more Mussini is the answer

We all think different, I really like discussing basketball with you guys. But I can't even imagine mussini having a positive impact on this game.

I agree that it is currently streetball 101, more of the same from last year and the Lavin era. Hopefully there's more cohesion as the year goes on but the coaching staff needs to implement an offensive system and these players need to start running it.  I'd hate this to be another D'Angelo Harrison class where freshman year the potential was there and 3 years later they barely made the big dance due to lack of coaching.

Contested long 2s early in the shot clock on consecutive possessions by Lovett and Ponds. Come on

Sima wasn't even facing the player that blew by him. His head is in the clouds.

We have an orange president trying to bring the country back to as great as it was in the mid 80s, we might as well have an orange head coach try to make St John's basketball as great as it was in the mid 80s
