The team still plays undisciplined
Disappointing to see how unprepared our sophomores are. Mussini at least isn't making careless plays all night like the others. Ellison isn't hustling. He's not defending. When he has the ball he's throwing up crazy shots. What's going on with him? It looks like regressed.

Players need structure. Sure some of it is on them but they need discipline and a game plan to follow. The playground ball has to be replaced by offensive sets and a lot of ball movement eventually.

Along, with implementing some defensive zones.

So they don't foul, Mason goes by Lovett like he wasn't even there, and nobody steps up to help

Defense has been atrocious.

11)Williams 10)Amar 9)Freud 8)Ellison. We need to shorten our rotation to 7. We are not as deep as with though. Sure those other guys are capable of a good game here and there but should only play when absolutely necessary vs good teams. Our bigs are still very week inside, getting overpowered all night.
We have ponds, Lovett , Ahmed , Owens, yakwe, and sima.
Everyone else is the same . Not big east players

Way too soon to write off Freudenberg. He deserves a chance to learn for a little bit. Let's see what he can do by February.

It ain't coaching.  Some turd for Minnesota that can barely jump has 10 blocks.  They turned the ball over like 3 times.  Our defense was atrocious.  I actually like defensive zones but somehow the number 1 team in the country yearly (duke) doesn't need them.  Neither does Michigan state.

Our offensive strategy is fine.  We put up 80+ points.  We simply couldn't stop them and we have very little players who can actually play offense up front.  Out guards are excellent.  We need frontcourt bad and defensive ability.

Not writing him off. He is not ready to play at this level currently. He isn't fast enough. Maybe should have red shirted .

Ellison is a disaster...can't transfer fast enough. He's a worse defender than Mussini and he doesnt play half as hard. What a waste of offensive skill.

Owens brings it.  That position is all about hustle and effort and the kid just flatout competes. Yakwe and Sima just don't have the hands right now.

The team needs to realize Ponds goes hard after everything and someone needs to get back for him. Moose was the only one getting back all game. Best lineup was Lovett, Ponds, Moose, Ahmed, and Owens.

Love our back court.  Obviously need to clean up the defense big time.  Thought the kids came out to play and was happy with how we fought back on the road in a tough environment.   Happy to see Bashir contribute more today.  Disappointed in Malik's play tonight.  Need to figure out a way to get Sima/Yawke going a bit more in the paint.
