Minnesota - Player of the Game

Lovett.  Although criticism of his defense is warranted, he nevertheless was able to take over the game at times.
And we needed him to.

It'll be interesting to see if he can develop any chemistry with Sima, Yakwe, or Owens on that high pick n roll.
He's making tough shots, but finding his teammates for easier buckets needs to be the next step in development.

Ponds. He got 23 points in just 15 shots and mostly in the rhythm of the offense. Lovett needed 27 shots and 8 FTs to get 31. Lovett looked sensational at times but I thought he made offense one-dimensional for long stretches. Ponds also had 8 boards and played better d.

Owens gets honorable mention for incredible hustle and grit.

I gotta go with Lovett as he hit several key 3's that kept us within striking distance in the 2nd half when I thought the game was about to get outta hand.

At least you didn't vote for Mussini. Baby steps.

There was a discussion about this a few years ago, and we collectively decided to leave off opposing players win or lose.  I think Dave and Moose were the most vocal about that.
But IIRC most of the board agreed.

Just a suggestion. Maybe 2 options from each team?

Not to take anything from his performance--he's a great player-- but is it just me or did it feel like most of Coffey's points were either relatively easy dunks or layups?

As usual it  is between Lovett and Ponds. Lovett scored more points, but Ponds was more effeciant. Call it a toss up.
