I'm not sure whether this is the result of not having a AD at the time, but the scheduling of this game was poorly timed.
To have only one day of travel followed by what was probably a lethargic practice day definitely played a factor here.
Last night they lacked confidence, energy, and spirit. The hangover from Thanksgiving wknd was apparent on each of their faces from staff to roster.
They have to have two intense practice days and a good afternoon shootaround in New Orleans in order to turn this OOC season around. Plenty of opportunity to climb back to .500. The next 3 teams @Tulane (1-6), CalStNorthridge (2-5), and revenge night Fordham (5-2) can get us back to 5-5.
Like the great Joel Embiid says, 'trust the process!'. Last night tested my patience, but when I take a step back and look at the series of events recently, it all occurred over the course of 7 days. Youth, inexperience and immaturity doesn't help anyone get out of a losing streak funk.
I think we will see their best effort on Friday night in a tough environment. Tulane is having a Tshirt 'black out' for this matchup.
