Syracuse - Player of the Game
« on: December 21, 2016, 09:15:15 PM »
Holy crap!      ;D

That was awesome.   We were about as bad as I've ever seen on Sunday v. Penn State.  And we turn around with this.

Embarrassing Syracuse at the dome is fantastic.   3 in a row v. Syracuse?  just wonderful.

My vote goes to Ahmed for tonight.   He played his best game by far in my eyes.  only 1 turnover by him.

I gave it to Ahmed but Ellison is deserving too.

Ponds. He had another fantastic all around game. 7 assists, 6 rebs, 4 steals and ZERO to's. Kid is the goods. And our pg had 9 assists and will not get any POG votes.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

I went Ellison...great offensive game but when playing man to man he was assigned to White and did an excellent job.

I voted Ahmed but truth is that Ellison kept us in it half, Ahmed second half.  Ponds overall still might have won it with clutch shots,  hard to say

LETS GO. WE OUTCOACHED THEM AND OUTWORKED THEM. Our coaching staff is good. What a game plan. Trust the process.

We own New York with wins like this. Let's keep improving. Great game

I voted for LoVett. In past seasons, like all of them, we haven't had a point guard who could competently get the ball into the post. He wasn't perfect tonight, but by getting the ball to Ahmed, Yakwe and Owens in the post, it opened up shots for everyone.

That said, Ponds, Ellison, Ahmed, Owens and Freudenberg were terrific. Even Yakwe started to get it together. I hope he and the team can build on this. The guys get to go into Christmas feeling good about themselves. Good for them for coming out ready after that stinker on Sunday.

Ahmed finished everything around the basket tonight. I go w him.
Ponds or Ellison honorable mention and wouldn't mind seeing them POG either

I'll take 7 and 9 from Lovett everytime over 31 points.
Ponds is incredible. We don't deserve him.

I'll give the edge to Ponds for an allround game. But Ellison and Bash also great

Gotta go with Bash, but Ellison put together a game like I thought he could and I still think he's got more to show.

Unselfish all around.

Lovett's passes may be the fastest moving object to ever be on a basketball court. So fun to watch and tonight our guys did a good job catching them.

Ponds' passing is equally impressive and quite unique. How bout the one in the first half to Freud in the left corner. Incredible instincts on him. Lovett's decision making isn't quite as good but his ability level is terrific.  Young and full of potential just need to continue to tighten up the defense and tonight was a step in the right direction.

90+ points in 4 games already. Were closer than our performance this season would indicate.

Totally agree. LoVett has the talent but he will have his turnovers too. The only part of his game that I don't care for is the showboating. He has a little Darryl Hill in him.

I dont love it but at least hes had the wherewithal to only do it while playing well. So usually its a good sign ;)
