To state the obvious, have to hit the 3s to stay in the game. Big East coaches will adjust

Which is why Butler is an especially bad matchup for us. They defend the 3 pretty well. They don't have the best rim protectors so can get beat there which is not where we beat teams. They also have bigs that can and will step out and shoot so will make Owens/Yakwe defend on the perimeter

Can't beat with Mullin's chicken shit defense. They should beat the shit out of us.

In the Syracuse game, killing the clock on offense was our best defense. We will be out coached in this game.

If the Butler team has the stomach flu, we have a chance. They try too hard for our program to compete with them.

Not too late for him to knock off Scheppy for  shit  poster of the year, though.

on paper the D was better but Syracuse was so awful its hard to tell.  Gonna need to make some early 3s so the inside opens up for the penetrating game of the guards, ahmed and possibly a few dunks by the big guys, who don't do much else.

Are  Chrabascz, Wideman, Martin, Lewis and Baldwin that much better than Ponds, LoVett, Ahmed, Ellison and Owens?

I agree that it's somewhat disappointing to finish non conference at 6 and 7. We are still far too inconsistent,  but that comes with being so young.

Even so, the negativity of some of the "fans" on this board is astounding.

At times our offense has been tremendous, and we are among the best 3 point shooting teams in the country. At St. John's -- where no one could make an outside shot for most of the last 20 years or so.

What would we be reading if Syracuse had just beaten us by 33? This is just stupid.

Martin and Lewis could make this a laugher as their experience proves too much.  We may need the free tees to dry our eyes.  How did they ever loose to Indiana State?

I think St. John's talent is on par with Butler but their experience and discipline is why they are top 20 in the country.

All in all. Still got a chance at home. Need to come out swinging.
