I'm about to turn this one off.  Looks like we've reverted back to the crap from a few weeks ago.

Xavier was cold until we ran out the Freud/Mussini/Amar line up. Been hot ever since.

We look awful and sluggish at both ends today.   Not playIng inspired nor smart ball.  Xavier is purposeful and full speed at both ends.  This has nothing to do with talent today.  Has to do with discipline.   We aren't playing hard and just chucking.

Coaching does matter. Mack is one of the best young coaches there is.

Exactly. We can't have those three clueless players out there at the same time. What was Mullin thinking?

Worst thing for Xavier is they have to go sit down for 15 minutes.

Never saw a team give up runs like this. Xavier ended half on 45-21 run.

Our guys had an atrocious defensive half.   We don't move our feet, don't rotate and don't hustle to stay in front of our man.  Our offense hasn't been great today, but it's been one of our worst defensive halves since early in the season.  Xavier drawing help, kicking ball out and everything they want is wide open.  No bueno.

gotta press so we don't have to play halfcourt D for too long.  Defense nonexistent.  Pressing will make some use of our quickness

Guys need to start buying in to defense.  It's a mindset.  You're either all in or you're not.

And offensively they are playing us very high and tight on the perimeter to guard against the 3.  Look for back door cuts, pick n rolls, and Lovett and Ponds should be able to beat their man off the dribble and at least draw defenders.

I don't think the game is over yet though.  Seriously.  As bad as that was we can go on a streak of our own.

But it has to start with defense.  They can't be given open looks or easy baskets off offensive rebounds.

It makes me wonder if the coaches aren't helping the guys fix the defensive issues? Just sayin.

I hear it all the time that I'm too critical, and cynical, and angry at St. John's - but how can any sane St. John's fan not be pissed off watching the way they play. The effort, the turnovers, the gameplay...when are we allowed to get angry and not fall back on the "2nd year coach, or young team" excuses. This kind of basketball is just infuriating to watch - there's something broken and it needs fixing.
