LoVett settled there at the end of the half.  I think he could've gotten a better shot.

Oh, well!  We're only down by 6 at the half.  So, I consider that a consolation prize.

Not when we had a 6 Point lead at 4 different times and Nova played awful.

You have a point, but I knew there was gonna be a point where we was gonna play awful.  I was just hoping Villanova would screw up enough to make our awful not so awful.

I have a sense of impending doom, but since it's the NewYear, I'm going to be optimistic and SJU will ralley and take this one...

You must've also headed out to the bar this early afternoon, too.

It's concerning how terrible our ball movement is considering Lovett is supposed to be a great passer, and the backcourt is the strength of our team.

Ball movement stinks.  Everybody wanna dribble the ball (including, folks who can barely dribble and chew gum at once), and miss open shooters because they wanna pound the ball or pound the ball and then, proceed to go into the lane for a wild or dumb shot.  Or, they just catch and shoot a long range or off-balance jumper, instead of moving the ball around.

It's contagious, as a lot of the team does it.   Which leads me to what I thought a season ago....  I believe it's being encouraged.

Cool!  Spending time with the youngin's.  I was only teasing.

Hopefully, we get a good second half, and can steal this one.

Ellison has to hit that one.  He's wide open.  Bricks it.

If some of our past bigs played as hard as Owens they would have been first
rounders. Man, he gets after it.

Whatever the result, defense played better today, and the game was competitive. I expect 'Nova to coast from here on, but still not a bad overall effort.

Defense played better, but still not saying much.  They broke down, as well.  'Nova has missed quite a few wide open looks, too.  Regardless, they didn't go in.

For all intent and purpose, this game is over.  We had an opportunity to steal this one, but it wasn't in the cards.

This may be the most frustrating team I've ever watched. I seem to be so angry watching games, watching how they "move" - how they try to attack. It's such a level of incompetence. I'm so sick and tired of excuses and the same ol' responses from fans or media when talking about this team. Where is the fire? Where is the cohesive game planning? Why can't we develop a way to attack a team when they are clearly off their game? The simple answer is we are void of the proper talent and depth  to keep up with the teams we're losing to. But it's more than that - our players are not being put in the position to get the optimal results from their "talents." The way other teams move the ball, move on the floor, against us is something that seems like a foreign language when compared to our "style" of basketball. It's depressing. I'm tired of this.

Didn't expect a miracle but same damn mistakes and poor decisions over and over.
