DePaul - Player of the Game

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Ellison was the PoG.

Honorable mention to Owens.

Ellison no doubt. He drives me crazy, but he does play hard.

Mlk Ellison got us off to a good start and also helped us close it out. If he could ever become consistent he could be a really solid player. Still lacks something between the ears IMO

Agreed. I'll take guys that play hard on my team any day of the week. The mental part we can deal with

Ellison by far.  He is inconsistent and frustrating but but he can be a Denzel Valentine type if he sticks around for four years.

glad to see Ellison have a positive game as he has good size at guard.  He played good D tonight, kept his fouls down, and he made all his F/t's where he has really struggled.  DePaul did not respect his shot and he took advantage.

He's sill only a sophomore. He's a 6'6" G who should be a stopper on D.  If he keeps improving defensively , he can be a serious weapon..

I know I've been saying this since game 1, but he's most important guy on floor for overall team success.

This is an easy call. It's nice to have a POG rather than a player who played less bad.

Came out gunning, and hitting, early with 3 threes in the first 5 minutes.  Really set the tone.

Super efficient 70%, 83% and 100% from 2, from 3 and from the line, respectively.

4 to 1 assist/turnover ratio plus he is without a doubt our finest defensive guard.

Best part is he's only a soph.  All those that have posted they want him thrown to the scrap heat might want to reconsider.

He played great. That being said he will never shoot that way again simply because his shot is messed up and he really does not shoot the same way twice. Forget the points, he needs to cut down on mistakes and honestly play harder and he will be a  good BE basketball player. Unlike other players on this team, what he needs to work on is within his grasp.

Ellison does have an awkward shooting stroke but it seems to work for him. He is shooting well over 40% from 3 if I am not mistaken. He does make mental mistakes but I like his game and he works hard on both ends. He was the player of the game yesterday and if he keeps improving he will be a very solid four year player for us.

How much you want to bet this is not the only time he hits 5 of 6 threes?
