Marquette Game Thread

Line opened at Marquette -4 and has dropped to Marquette -3. Total of 162 is super high for a college game. Should be a really high scoring affair.

Like us they launch a ton of 3s. They don't get to the line all that often so hopefully we can do a better job of avoiding foul trouble. We need to be aggressive on the perimeter and really contest their shots. They are thin up front so hopefully we can attack and get Fischer in some quick foul trouble.

Ponds drops 32. LoVett shares, and finishes w 23 and 8. Owens has 10, w 12 boards and 5 blocks. A career night. Ahmed has 15 and 8. Yakwe plays 4 minutes. Williams contributes. Ellison is fine. Mussini has 6 points. Goes 2-7 from 3. Amar goes 0-1 with a fouling one minute. Freudenberg waves his towel.

I don't see a large difference between us and MU other then they have some older players. I think we come out shooting well and take a close one.

if for some reason we box out we should win. The Xavier game was the worst rebounding game that I have ever seen. Predicting a win for the first time in a big east game in a long time.

Most interested inthe freshman guard matchup

Biggest difference is there man in the middle (Fisher).  We don't have anyone of that size who can score/rebound consistently in the post.  If Fisher doesn't go off I think this is a really good, competitive game tonight.

Marcus and Shamorie are going to abuse *Rowsey and Howard. Containing Fischer is my biggest concern. Not worried about Johnson/Cheatham with Malik and Bash assigned to them, that'll balance out. We win easy.
