5 games remaining , if we take 3 and 1 be tourney win, I think that would have exceeded anyone expectations. 9-9 be 1 tourney win...would be huge step into next year

Just got home from the game and realized that Mullin never put Ellison back in.

Mullin said thumb injury. I wonder why Lovett didn't start. Gotta be happy w the progress we are making.

Since that awful beating from Penn State at MSG, we are 7-7.
With only one real bad loss ... the Georgetown debacle.

Very satisfying win...even more so because I thought last year Hall stole it from us at MSG.

Yeah his thumb was up his arse. Don't think we win this game if he plays his usual 30 plus minutes the way he started out today.

Enjoyable win because we did it with solid defense and didn't have to shoot the lights to do it. Made big plays when we had to to stop their runs

With this type of effort we will be tough to beat down the stretch.
Problem is we don't always get this kind of effort especially on the road.  We say that every time we play well and then we come out and we're not even competitive. Maybe they can finally grow up and give a more consistent effort. I don't mind if we lose our 3 remaining road games, just compete, don't get blown out from the opening tap.

Amazing ....key stat 8 TO vs Hall 18
Rest of box score relatively even
Except for being out rebounded by 14 and we had 9 blocks to their 1.

Great team win.  We held off runs.  We certainly didn't look like one of the youngest teams in the country.

Positive game for yakwe - you can tell he's playing with more confidence.  Sure he missed a big dunk and was still a bit of butterfingers but he was an overall positive out there.  Don't always feel that way.

Lovett, Owens, were phenomenal and ponds and bash had very solid games.  Even Alibegovic played a key role today.  Ellison was only one who played that really was a dud imo.
Agree on Yakwe today as he actually resembled a basketball player today as he as in only a few games this season. He needs to work on his hands in the off season, as in like catching about a million passes a day. Can live with his limited offense but hate turnovers due to fumblitis.

What a difference it makes when our bench contributes. Even Amar contributed. Just imagine what kind of game he would have had today if he bothered to box out. If STJ boxes out, and this is a 25+ win.

LoVett didn't start again, and while it didn't hurt us today, it's becoming routine that he is benched to start games.

Great effort overall. Lost a key bench player, and a key starter, and the guys stayed focused. IMO, this was an important win for everyone. Maybe our biggest of the season to date. Seton Hall ate us alive in Jersey, and we took it to them today. Credit where it's due. Staff had a solid game plan for keeping Delgado in check, and it worked.

As you can probably surmised by my having the last 5 posts, I was at the game and thoroughly enjoyed it and are much more engaged in what we have going on here.

Fun game to be at.  What I found remarkable was 30 point turnaround between 1st half in game #1 (-20) and 1st have today (+10).  This game also featured the fewest 3 PT attempts by the team.  Chris wanted them to attack Hall in the paint and they did.  Sanogo was a big loss for Hall as he freed up Delgado in 1st game.  Today we were able to double team him more.  We also cut off Carrington's passing lanes today.  He killed us with 8 assists in 1st game; today 2.  Loved Owens enthusiasm today.  D Will was injured but very much into the game.  Amar gave a great dozen or so minutes by laying a body on Delgado and gave us unsuspected offense as he played under control.  And WOW from the free throw line.  looking forward to Hoyas and Friars at Breakfast at the Garden--if only I could get a bagel to go with the beer.

Two quick fouls, one terrible pass. Then picked up his 3rd foul early in the 2nd half. Looked dead out there

Both Ellison and Ahmed need to realize that they are not point guards. They need to stop trying to run the offense.

@RedStormTalk go 3-2 rest of way and win a game in BET, and I think they get in.

Or does the team still have a better shot at making the tournament?

I'm really excited for the future. We've got the best young backcourt in the country, a big man that is only limited by weight, and two big time walkons and Ahmed to fill in the rest.
