Certainly, if we lose.

If we win, we still have a chance at 7th, though we will probably need to beat Providence, and get help.

Our young guys are better at home. With no upperclassmen providing any leadership the only advantage we have is playing in MSG and that Georgetown fans are less interested these days and are also pretty tame compared to fans of other rivals, or former rivals like Uconn, SU and Duke.

I think we'll take it 82-72. Owens plays well. LoVett and Ponds are strong. Ellison finds himself on the bench early and stays there.

Rothstein:

St. John's big man Darien Williams will play today against Georgetown, per a source. Has missed last three games. #SJUBB

There should be NO reason we dont win this game.

No excuse about how we don't matchup well with Georgetown or any of that. DePaul just beat them at home and while we complain about not having "Bigs" we can at least pretend we have a semblance of a front court....Depaul can't even do that, their starting center is 6'7''

Agree!  There is no reason we shouldn't win today.  The "we don't match up with the Hoyas" is an overplayed quote by a few.  That's hogwash, IMO.

By the way, DePaul's starting center is also a walk-on.

I've been one of those singing that tune, Dink.  Look, I think the size on the front line and even the back court is a glaring difference between the teams.  That said, I thought we'd have the same issue with Seton Hall's front line, and we smacked them around in MSG.  So perhaps I'll be wrong again today.

Georgetown is begging to be blown out.  13 possessions and 7 turnovers for the Hoyas.

We're playing like crap on offense.

Fouls piling up on us.  6 team fouls, and there is still 12 mins. remaining in the half.

EDIT: We've just committed our 7th team foul.  Sheesh.

They're playing way too slow and deliberate on O. Speed it up on these guys.
