@NYPost_Brazille
St. John's forward Tariq Owens (ankle) will be a game-time decision at Creighton tomorrow, I'm told. #sjubb

Lost by 41 in Omaha last season.

Tough enough place to play with Owens, let alone without him.

Johnnies +11 was the line I saw. That's probably pretty accurate, thought it might even be a a couple more but Creighton hasn't been the same team even at home of late.

Yea the site I use had +11 last night now also has +9.5. I am a little surprised we are getting some good action.

Honestly, I was also thinking of an upset.  I don't know why, but just a thought that came about today.

We have not played well on the road as of late. Our defense has especially been lacking. Hope I'm wrong.

If Owens is healthy and we get Patton in to foul trouble then I can see an upset, if not then we lose by double digits easily.

I either wanted to predict a close win or closer towards a blow out loss. Every time we have a nice home win I like to think we will turn that corner on the road but that might not come until next season I think.

Mayyybe a steady program gets a little uneasy following a tough loss and some program turmoil. Said it earlier in the year, when you have streaky players you will have a streaky team and I think right now we are on the good end of one of those streaks. If we play well for first 5 minutes I think we'll have a real shot.

Predictions:

MalikIV and Da Ali B will play significant minutes and the fan base will complain even though Coach has no other options.  Fellini will also play significant minutes because there is no other choice but the fan base will not complain because he'll get a one game reprieve due to the euphoria they are still feeling from his Mvp like Gtown performance.

Cretins        - 89
Creighton   - 88

A 9 1/2 point spread is very encouraging and the loss of the only player I've seen quicker than Love it on the court and in the bedroom should help.

First off, they're without Watson who provided 19/5 last time and they're going to have to replace that.  They'll be hard pressed to get Patton to do a lot better than the 25 he dropped on us last game.   This game I'm sure we will do a bit better job focusing on him like we did Delgado the second game.  We do need Owens for this game I think, to have a real good chance though.  His shotblocking, rebounding and overall athleticism aren't replaceable right now.  Hopefully he's feeling well enough to go.

Owens is the "X" factor.  Without him-no way.  With him and Rico's improved play we will cover.

We need an early timeout.  Already down 6-0.  That last layup was too easy, as Gillen stated.
