Bashir Ahmed to test NBA Waters

I think Ahmed's conversation with people in the NBA would be similar to below conversation:

Ty Webb: [to Al Czervik] Hey, don't put yourself down. You're not, uh... you're not... you're not good. You stink.

This is good. They will tell him he has the size and shooting ability but his only chance to play in the league is if he becomes a shutdown defender and + rebounder. He can only be a three and D guy.

Or he will shoot every time he touches the ball next year instead of every other time.

He was better, stylistically, at the end of the season than in the beginning.  Why won't he be better next year than he was this year?

Furthermore, w the addition of Simon and Clark, competition for PT will be tougher. If he plays selfish or out of control, he will be benched more.

Hopefully the "shoot when its in my hands" mentality will be slowed by the coaches. All season, the coaches talked about a core group of guys who always had the green light to shoot. Just because you have the green light doesn't mean you have to throw up chucks that lead to easy fastbreak baskets for the other guys.

Bash has to play like a high IQ Senior. We play so much better when we move the ball around.

The staff tasked Bash with creating and carrying a big scoring load. He was the only guy over 6'1 that could score.

Bash just posted on social media how he can't wait for next season so looks like he is back as well thought he would be.

I'm looking forward to his second year. I'm sure the NBA told him he needs to be a defensive stopper if he is to have any chance. Maybe our own Marco Baldi can work with him there...nobody can halt a run of positive posts and energy like him.

Actually he needs to be a center. If he can pull that off, he deserves to be drafted.

For Halloween? 

Ahmed has a good skill set, guy just needs to embrace "playmaking". 
If you drive and draw 2 or 3 defenders ... somebody else is open!   

That, and use his body more on defense and to box out.  He's a big kid, but he plays as if he's in Mussini's body.

The second part is the key for him this season. If Ahmed, Clark, Wilson, and Simon focus on  defense and being relentless on the glass, nobody will want to play us.
