What is one thing in the realm of possibility that could happen and push us to the NCAA? I'm sure everyone agrees health is a huge factor so lets just say for the sake of argument that our top 7 stay able all year.

I say that if Owens can average 25+ min a game we will dance.

Around 300 D1 teams are put on probation and are ineligible for the tournament.   Seriously, the obvious play better D, and play as a team (unselfishly).

Was thinking in more tangible terms

If Owens/Yakwe/Clarke can secure rebounds and play defense

If Yakwe is going to get major minutes he needs to average more than 4 RPG

Seriously! That should be one area he excels in. Needs 5+ in 20 mins at least.

(2) Rebounding by committee is top 3-4 in league
(3) Simon is for real
(4) One of Clark or Yakwe is very good and the other is good

In Big east tournament?

It’s all defense and defensive rebounding.  We are athletic, have some of the best guards in the country and now have some frontcourt talent and depth as well.  We will go as far as our defense goes. It all starts with out guards limiting dribble penetration.  We need defenders like Linehab up top, and not matadors.  For as good as shamorie is on offense, he was awful in man-d aside from steals.  He wants to play pro he will need to defend. Same goes with Lovett and the rest.  If we defend, will will be real good.  I have no worries about our offensive ability.  Shot selection maybe, but we can score.

They mature.

-Shamorie and Marcus learn how to play off one another, not take turns individually, for 40 minutes, become a true two headed monster.

-Learn how to play as a team. Start out stronger, avoid big deficits, close out games, find their go to guy in big spots (Bash).

-Collectively gang rebound, cover each other on D, move the ball on offense whipping it around the zone with a fury.

-Become elite in transition, fast break offense should separate them from the pack.
