This team did not quit at all and now we're in a position to win this game. I'm giving Mullin credit for that.

Interesting how quiet this thread has been the last five minutes. Clutch playing by Ponds. I really like this team. When's the last time we scored 80 points shooting less than 40%?

Yakwe player of the game. Ugly, ugly game but it's nice to see the team win without their A stuff. They can't play like this tomorrow.

I was just going to say that...

I want to give the benefit of the doubt and say that some members are so used to bad basketball in Queens that they don't trust this team when things look bad. Fair.

Doesn't answer the question why those refuse to give props to players when they get things going

This was the type of game they would of lost last year. They fought back and won.  :coolsmiley:

We were -5.5 at close. Hope nobody here took us on that line with that buzzer beater

We lose this game by 18 points last year. We played our C game, yet took control of the game in the last five minutes and won. OR State isn't that bad and had some legitimate advantages over us.

Nice to win against a decent team after playing poorly for much of the game. Yakwe was huge all game and will need to be again tomorrow and for the rest of the season. Simon didn't play well but he really is a difference maker on defense

Good job by the team digging deep and rising to the top.

Maybe, that'll be a kick start for tomorrow.  Kudos!

I hope I eat humble pie all year! Learned my lesson not to quit on this team. Great game, way not to give up!

What a great win. To people who like to use rankings and stuff. Oregon State is a top 100 team (Kenpom rating 85); And they were projected to finish 7th in the pac 12 according to sports illustrated. Last year we lose the game easily ( see penn State). This year, way better team.

Oregon State isn't beating any high major by 18. They aren't a good team. Most of us, myself included, probably overreacted, but look at our recent past! We are conditioned for disappointment. This is a weak tournament and an average at best opponent with glaring flaws. To b relegated to the loser's bracket would have been humiliating. This tournament is our season.

Comeback impressive. LoVett kept us close, Ponds when it counted came out of his funk & Yakwe made plays. On to the next one.

Impressive win, played poorly for the most part, particularly on offense, and still managed a win.  Ability to win ugly when off is a mark of a good team.  Beat a much bigger team....I'm starting to believe the lack of size will not be a major problem.  I think Mullin did a great job of calming down the troops so they could execute down the stretch.  With a lead in the last 2 minutes our guards took over and got to the line. n nI expect this regularly. QUICKNESS RULES.
