Lovett cost us this one, no two ways about it. Terrible shot selection and mindless defense. Gambling way too often and leaving his man wide open several times

Absolutely.  This cannot fly in big east play, period

He looks smoother kicking his foot out on every 3 tho

Can’t play terrible for almost half a game and win.

just watching this half I'm not sure lovett's defense has improved

getting beat off the ball, losing his man constantly, not closing out on 3s, woeful all around

He gambles too frequently.  Once again, I'd like to see us incorporate some zone (1-2-2 and 2-3 zone).

No loss is easy to take, but this may be one of those "good ones" the way Johnnies  battled back.
Grab a win here Sunday & split the ASU & Grand Canyon games & that's a positive out of conference result.

Lastly, Martin shifting to zone & having Tigers work the ball moving ball around to find open threes changed game.

This is definitely not a terrible loss, but being happy with a split against GCU and Arizona State is a little too accepting of mediocrity

Shamorie has to become selfish.
Could've dropped 40 today.

Perhaps. But playing away from home is always tough. Of course they can win both, just not assuming that.

We held them to like 10 points in 12 game minutes and they still scored 90 points. I have never seen anything like this.

Actually, I like when team's go zone against us.  Unfortunately, it invited us into taking about 3 straight poor shots.

I expected us to go 2-1 in this tournament, but dang I just felt we were gonna close this one out.  Win tomorrow and, as you said, split with Arizona State and Grand Canyon, and all is good.  I'm greedy, though.  I don't wanna lose anymore non-conference games prior to Big East play.

Arizona State is gonna be tough, as they have several players that can put the ball in the hole.  I'm gonna check out their game later today versus Xavier.

Lovett needs to be able to recognize when he doesn't have it in a game, but that isn't in his repetoire, he is totally fine with having games where he loses the game almost on his own by chucking up horrible shots

Not a back breaker here.  I thought the refs got them back I the game with multiple foul line chances in a row, followed by some crazy treys by the,.   Lost to a pretty good Missouri team.  We need to play two full halves of basketball.  We need a win tomorrow.  And as mentioned at minimum split with GC and ASU.  I'd really love to see us win all 3, but we aren't there yet.  Maybe we will be sooner rather than later.

This is a rarity for Lovett.  He's usually more consistent.

Why is Grand Canyon getting so much respect?

Outrebounded 41-27. The bigs are a problem and the guards are talented, but not smart

Tough loss but played pretty well I thought. Missouri was white hot from 3. Win tomorrow and it's was a good trip to me.

This was absolutely not a good loss, especially if we consider ourselves a bubble team
