I hope Lovett enjoyed the game.

Another ugly game. Nothing else to say except we survived again without Lovett.  10-2 is 10-2. We've beaten everyone worse than us and lost to the two teams that were equal or better.

STill bearing solid teams like this, and without our starting PG... a good sign.  We need a healthy Lovett hopefully soon...
Can't cry about missing Lovett when the announcers were saying St Joe's has been decimated by injuries. I don't know anything about St. Joe's so I don't know who they were missing or how good they are but we are not the only team that has to play short handed.

A relief of a win. Not gonna look great on our resume, but we avoided a horrendous loss. 10-2 means we realistically have to go 10-8 in BE play to be in. Very doable.

No offense to them but I’m sure whoever was out for them isn’t in the same class as Lovett. Solid win. St. Joes was in the top 120 in the Kenpom ratings. Not a good team but not bad either. That being said we need Lovett back ASAP for BE play.

Lamarr Kimble and Charles Brown.  There may have been another player, but I'm not sure.  I know those two were missing.

Maybe, not.  But that's totally irrelevant to their value to their team.

They were missing arguably their best two players. Kimble was their leading scorer last year and Brown is a 6'7 forward that the announcers said was a promising NBA prospect.

What are we like 8-1 without Lovett the last two years?

6-2 but today's St Joe's team was far and away the best team of the 6 wins. Last year's loss was LIU

How many would win without Ponds? Jesus, even Simon or Owens.

Actually this win looks pretty good on our resume. We beat a typically competitive A10 team on a nuetral court.

I don’t think St.Joseph’s is by far and away better than anyone. They’re 5 and 6 on the season. They played us well for 35 minutes, but good teams win close games.

You know, because it was in Arizona, Grand Canyon could be our best w out Marcus.

This is essentially a nothing win on the resume. We beat a middle of the pack team in a conference that is way down this year compared to years past. It's pretty equal to beating a Ball St or Albany on a neutral court

That's fair. Aside from those 2 the other 4 wins were over very bad teams

Interesting that Amar did not see the floor at all in this one, even with being shorthanded and Clark only playing 4 mins in the first half due to 2 quick fouls

It's a good thing the staff is taking your advice never to play Simon at the end of games, he sucks...

It will look better when they get Brown back and finish above .500 in the A-10. The same goes for UCF getting back its best player. This team is on pace for the bubble of all bubbles. Lunardi said we'd be in the tournament tomorrow with a win tonight.

That seems extreme. St.Joseph’s will help our RPI, and it will help some in March when we’re making a push for a bid. The A10 is awful so far, but some of those teams that got off to poor starts are going to at least make the NIT. St.Joseph’s could be one of them when they get their point guard back. They were supposed to be at least pretty good this season, because that’s what they usually are. Pretty good.

This is assuming the committee completely forgets that they didn't have Brown for this game, which I guess is possible. They might end up being ok when its all said and done but this was way more about avoiding a bad loss than getting a good win
