I think the same Doctor that claimed it was a boating accident in Jaws gave Marcus that day to day prognosis.

Be interesting to see if he's just rehabbing or having surgery.     Presumably if he was headed for surgery that would've been mentioned. 

So yesterday Mullin said he expected Lovett to get back on the court for practice today and today he is out for the season. What a ridiculous situation from start to finish and it probably isn't even over yet

Yeah I can't be surprised.  I mean he has not even practiced for what more than 6 weeks at least.

At some point you can read the tea leaves and see he isn't coming back.

This comes less than 24 hours after Mullin says he should practice today and suddenly he is shutting it down? Seems like a real fight between staff and Lovett camp. We now clearly see who has been spearheading this. I guess the 'daytoday' label was to keep the pressure on his camp. This is disgraceful and selfish. With all the drama last Spring as to whether or not he comes back, he should've left after last season. The 2017 recruiting class was pathetic and the lack of preparedness, transfer tidal wave in the offseason is showing its ugly head tonight.

I was giving Marcus the benefit of the doubt until now.  There's really no way to explain Mullin thinking he might practice today and then announcing he's done for the year. 

There's always some unnecessary drama with this team.   That's what I hated most about the Lavin years.   I thought we were past that, but I guess not.   

So much for my hope post. Missing a year due to a sprained knee? Jesus Christ. This kid will never be taken seriously professionally.

The staff will rightly be taken to task for the short roster, but this a mistake they'll never make again and have already added Dixon and Williams for next year.

They say bad things come in threes. Lose to Ewing at Garden to fall to 0-5. Lose your 2nd best player for the year. Pretty sure Mullin has a dick punch coming any minute now. Probably should wear a cup.

Agree.  This is an odd situation.

Cut ties and go get Markquis Nowell for next year. You can't go into battle with kids you can't trust. Give me a less talented city kid that will dress and compete.

It was misrepresented what he said, he meant food court.  Marcus is able to order food now...
