It's crazy that pretty much everyone knew what was going on as it happened, and they still were allowed to get away with it. Honestly though it was probably worth it. If SJU did this and got a big east tourney championship, and had a successful 3-4 year stretch I wouldn't mind.

That banner hanging in Newark will be removed, Willard will be gone and his entire tenure will be looked upon in shame and embarrassment, none of this was worth it.

Hello Fellow Johnnies, I am new to this site. I used to be on the BigEastBoards when everyone was trying to get Norm fired. Just wanted to introduce myself and happy to be aboard!
Question...
When wins are removed from schools for violations, what happens to the other schools losses. Does the loss get removed? When Louisville was in the Big East, those wins are now gone. Are SJU losses to them gone as well?

I think it is. Better than years upon years of mediocrity. Their fans still got to experience it. It'll suck now, but for a dead end program like that, that was in the gutter for years I think it's worth it.

It's especially worth it for the big programs, they may get hit with sanctions for a few years, but they'll come back and be better than ever most likely. That's the landscape of college basketball right now. If you're not cheating you're not trying. I'm sure programs will continue to do this even after this whole scandal is over.

No way it’s worth it. The joy they had will be filled with misery for months if not years now.

So basically they'll be like us SJU fans now for a few years?

Thanks for sharing.  This certainly makes Lavin's stock go up in my eyes--as they say there but for the grace of God ( and realizing Tiny was dirty) goes SJU.

The coach hiring was done in the open. As I recall we refused even if it wasnt really against the rules. The whole hooker and Keita thing had everyone on guard.

As to the agent payment to Whitehead... without a date indicating it was given as a recruiting payment, agents give loans to their predraft client to defray training costs.  Its a normal thing

Your bottom part doesn’t make sense. The report said he received payments while he was a freshman at Seton Hall. There’s no need to give him money for training because he was already training for free at a Big East University.

Seton hall Needs a better excuse.

Yes...Be careful!  I always suspected that Amar Alibegovic and Joey De La Rosa only came to SJU because of big payoffs.   :)

they  won't need a date of payment if they can track the physical money transfer
