Amar can do his happy dance and enjoy senior night  without worry about things being flung at him...Those bobble heads would’ve hurt!

What a gutsy win so happy for the seniors and beside for that awful 3 shot foul Amat played a good game defensively....looks like Mullin vs Ewing Wednight night in front of a sold out garden.

Unreal that we won this game without ponds. The last 7 games have been a testament to Coach and the hard work of our players. It may have taken a while but the coaching has been good lately.   From what seemed to be a lost season, things are looking up.  If we could win two more games this season (which means we beat Georgetown and either providence or Xavier) I would be thrilled.

How often does a team win in 2 OTs with only 4 players scoring?

I bet this time we win it... as long as we do have Ponds.  I love that out team got a taste of victory without him though.  I think it changes the mindset of the team...

I agree I think this was huge and will be big confidence builder going into next week...would love to beat providence on Saturday to get them back on bubble....it's crazy all 10 seed up for grabs on Saturday and a team like seton hall can finish 3rd or 7th will be a fun one!

I know I know it's one game at a time and emotions are high after the win and solid recruit pick up but being able to avoid Nova if we can win 8/9 game is big IMO

Probably the most dangerous last-place team in the Big East ever... we must be messing-up a lot of game-plans... I’m enjoying and I never thought I’d say that in last place!

I kinda get the idea we are in “Rocky” mode and not worrying about matchups in last place...  only thing we can do is win it all, or as many as we can...

You are 100% right....I know this was a step back with big east record but year 3 and Mullin's win total improved ...really hope this team can get an NIT bid

Just got home from Queens. Bash & Amar played their hearts out and deserved to go out w their heads high. Justin playing every minute, (50!) is one incredible stat. The perseverance the team showed without Shamorie was inspiring for the crowd, a great night all around. From 8 wins Year 1, 14 Year 2, and now 15+ Year 3 we're slowly getting there. We are!!

Was at the game. I've never been Mullin's biggest fan and actually called for his firing, but man the staff pulled a rabbit out of their hat tonight without Ponds. Hope they build off this and don't go back to their clueless ways, but man what a game. The about 1/4 of the crowd that left down 5 points with 30 seconds left must feel dumb.

Not knocking him for his game tonight other than the foul but Amar played 43 minutes and didn't score a point. That's impressive

also just got in and felt this was one for the ages as the team was undermanned, playing a team that beat them by 25 a month age and then had to come back twice  (in regulation and in 1st OT).  The team refused to quit and that is a testament to coach.  Simon all 50 minutes and Bash 48 and Marv 46 plus TO and Ali over 40 Minutes.  This was one of the best "effort"games I have seen at Alumni Hall over many years when you consider the situation. The place was rocking.  During the referees looking at the play regarding the court length pass-the crowd was chanting ST Johns Ball.   Feel so glad for the players.

Sadly I did leave but it was down 5 with 17 seconds left and in fairness to me my friend drove and he said let's go. He had work next day  and I didn't and it was a late game so couldn't argue, not that I thought we would win but I'm not in the habit of leaving early ever. Got in car checked phone and couldn't believe it went to OT. Glad we won and I credit the defense as we had way more TOs than usual but we did match them on the boards.

All those minutes stats is why I rarely use the tired excuse some others go to when we lose. We have won 5 of last 7 including beating 2 top 5 teams last one down another man. Will come into play though if we win 8-9 game and have to play top seed next day at noon. Maybe give Yakwe a little more burn.

Also anyone else a little concerned about Ponds not playing? Seemed a little Marcus Lovett-esque. Know one knew he was injured until minutes before the game then he's out.... May be reading a little too much into this, but I'm a little concerned.
